Demons can be lowly, despicable creatures. Worthless and bloodied as they rot at the heels of Lucifer.
But then there are those who rise to their potential - who have power great enough that they are granted a name.
These demons are the ones that walk between the worlds. The ones who are able to hide their twisted forms and appear as another.
Alec is one of these such demons.

For a demon to create a sense of freedom for themselves, they must be cut free of their servitude to Lucifer. It is not an easy process and for most it is fatal.
However, there is another way.
If a demon contracts itself as a witch's familiar, they become bound to that witch. They travel the realms of their own accord, living their life as they please, for as long as the witch allows.
It is still a prison, but one of your own choosing.

Through the bond formed by the contract with the witch, Alec is released from the shackles of Lucifer and opened to his full potential as a demon. This power, however, is now not just for him.
As a familiar, Alec wanders the realms freely, be it in the form of a demon, a fallen angel, a human, or his shift into a cat as black as the night itself, however, should he be called by the witch that he is contacted to, he will appear as summoned to do their bidding.
Sometimes he is called upon to seek out a rare item, or to take care of a lesser creature for his contracted witch, but there are times when he is called on to share his power with them.
The connection is one that runs deep, one where Alec can feel the witch no matter how far apart they may be. Over the centuries by their side, he has found himself growing fond of the witch and may occasionally come to their aid without being summoned.

All words associated with the dreaded power of a demon. All words that were the base of Alec.
Inside, they are a part of him he will not escape. A sadistic mindset takes him over where he only derives pleasure from the pain he is inflicting.
However, there are times when he is kinder. The centuries he has spent wandering among the mortal realm opening him up to emotions he never knew he could feel.
Although Alec is dominant by nature, he is a switch with headspaces that range from being the soft kitten nuzzling into the neck of his master, to the dreaded demon that would break your arm just to hear you scream.
Respect is all that he asks for.
